13Players is a small non-profit theatre group committed to performing plays of outstanding literary and artistic quality, rarely or never before seen in Westmoreland County. The lucky number in our name reflects a dual commitment:
FIRST, to choose works that involve a small cast and promote an intimate theatre experience between the characters on stage and the audience. Over time, we expect to use many smaller theaters and/or nontraditional venues.
SECOND, to produce theatre for all ages, youth through adult, with deliberate outreach to tweens/teens. We believe that depth of character and theme, and aesthetic experimentation, can and should be appreciated by all.
We are so proud to be putting teens and adults on stage together, creating complex characters side-by-side, and starting meaningful discussions on issues that affect our lives and communities.
So whatever your age, please come see us to think, feel, and enjoy. We’ve picked a show to engage and entertain you!
